Abstract

The article is dedicated to the activity of the Greek Catholic priests in the parliament of the Habsburg monarchy. The author attempted to determine the number of representatives of the clergy in the Reichsrat and also their political orientation. Great attention is paid to analysis of the priests’ activities in the Council of State accordance with the providing of cultural and national rights of local Ukrainian population. The position of clergy during the voting for the general imperial laws and their relationship with other ambassadors of the Parliament are analyzed in the article.
