Abstract

The paper analyzes the forms of resistance clergy and faithful of the Greek Catholic Church of Transcarpathia party and Soviet totalitarian system, and anti-religious work of the authorities. Thesis there is determined regularities and features of the religious situation in the province. The Greek Catholic Church continued to exist even in the most adverse Stalin era and remained faithful spiritual stronghold. A number of relevant resolutions of the methods of strict control and regulation of the activities of registered religious communities and priests tried unsuccessfully to oust it from public life.
