The article highlights the complicated relations between the radicals and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic clergy in the end of XIX - early XX century. The obstacles in creation and work of radical branches of "Kolomiya Society of People's Unions" in Pokuttya in the late XIX century from the side of of Greek Catholic priests are analyzed. Examples of cooperation and confrontation between Greek Catholic clergy and activists of the radical movement are showed. Andrey Sheptytsky's views on the activities of Ukrainian radicals are examined.
