Abstract

The article examines the way мetropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky stayed proponent of the rights of the Ukrainian greek-catolik church. He didn't swear alliance to the Polish officials of the time and advocated the tenets of the Ukrainian Greek-catholic church even after the Western Ukraine became a part of the Soviet Ukraine.
