The article analyzes the enthronement of the Stanislaviv bishop H. Khomyshyn in 1904, based on the materials of the Ukrainian periodicals of the early twentieth century. The features of H. Khomyshyn nomination are shown, the forms of preparation of the organizing committee for conducting its enthronement are described and was highlighted the celebrationon on June 19, 1904 in Stanislav; traced the first steps of the newly elected Stanislaviv Bishop. Newspaper articles of that times told that the public believed in the new bishop of the land, hoping that he would raise the level of Stanislaviv diocese to the new stage of development, raise priests and lay
people on the basis of the Christian faith and spiritual and religious revival of the Ukrainian people.
