An attempt of moving the greek catholic communities of Stanislaviv diocese to the bosom of the Russian Orthodox Church (1946 – 1953)

Abstract

In the article the main forms of the greek catholic counteraction of liquidation of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church by Soviet government in the second half of 1940s – the first half 1950s have been considered. Anti-Soviet activity of priesthood, attitude of believers to the orthodoxy and Soviet government have been investigated.
