Abstract

This article attempts to analyze the activities of the Roman Catholic clergy before and during the Polish uprising of January, its impact on the Polish and other peoples who inhabited the territory that belonged to the borders of the Commonwealth in 1772. Show the reaction of the Russian government on Polish clerical circles and activities of churches in the Polish liberation movement.
