Abstract

The history of the twentieth century in Ukraine is painted crimson. It is estimated that about 17 million people died violent deaths in our homeland. The relevance is that these deaths of innocent people occurred as a result of bizarre ideas of world reconstruction by the Soviet system, in which there was no place for God. A huge part of this bloody tragedy of violence in Ukraine was the deliberate persecution of religion and the planting of atheism in our people.

The consequence of this policy was the liquidation of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Galicia in 1946 and in Transcarpathia in 1949 by reunification with the Russian Orthodox Church, which was under the control of the atheist regime.
