Bells and bells in church worship

Abstract

The statutory principles of the use of bells in worship, the observance of the canon of bells have a special importance. The Byzantine liturgical practice of bells is unknown; after the baptism of Rus'-Ukraine, only instructions on the use of wooden beats and metal rivets were passed on. The bells came to us from the Latin West, and later in church and public life formed their own practice of their use, confirmed by the experience of centuries and certain local customs. Over time, each call received its own name and purpose.
