Abstract

According to the position of leading theologians, the charismatic movement is a purely ecumenical phenomenon, because, being born in many Christian denominations, it is often identical in nature. Thus, in the preface to the German edition of Raniero Cantalamesn, Josef Ratzinger correlates the charismatic movement with the "Adventism of the Church" (authenticity in the spiritual aspect). This understanding of the relationship between the charismatic movement and ecumenism has significant potential in the context of the creation of civil society, which is emphasized by foreign researchers, such as ecumenical practitioners Geribert Mullen, Ralph Martin.

The II Document from Malines by Cardinal Swansea "Ecumenism and Restoration", by the Ukrainian Protestant theologian V. Boechko and numerous Polish publications of the spiritual and formation center "Wieczernik" should be singled out.
