Abstract

It is fair to believe that the Ukrainian icon is a distinct uniqueness of fine art, which no country in the world has. Its peculiarity lies in the stylistic diversity and compositional uniqueness. The Ukrainian icon is unique for its traditional style of performance, which has been adopted by folk art. Ukrainians' love for the icon has been known for centuries. Therefore, even in times of trouble, the icon was tried to preserve and later passed on to future generations.
