Abstract

Greek Catholic clergy played a major role in approving pro-Ukrainian national and political orientation of the local population in the interwar period. Attempts of Polish authorities in the 1920s of promoting of Orthodox Christianity‘s approval among clergy as the ideological basis of Moscwofilstvo and later support of regional Lemko direction was not successful.
