Noble origin of Greco-Catholic clergy of Peremyshl’ (Przemyśl) diocese in in the period of ХІХ - 30th of ХХ of century

Abstract

The paper’s aim is to investigate the problem of noble origin of greco-catholic clergy of Peremyshl’ (Przemyśl) diocese in the period of ХІХ - 30th of ХХ of century. It is set that one third of greco-catholic priests had a noble origin in obedience to the last name. However, some representatives of clergy differently reacted on the displays of social consciousness among local rural gentry. One of them tried to wipe a difference between parishioners. Opposite to them, part of priests, gentry by origin, with a favor looked to the displays of noble.
