Abstract

The article analyzes the practice of donations on the occasion of the service of the Liturgy in the intention of the donator in accordance with the provisions of the canon law of the UGCC and the example of certain dioceses of the UGCC, the sources of this practice in the Kyiv and Latin Churches are elucidated. The author concludes that it is necessary to distinguish between contemplation and commemoration in liturgical practice, and their combination (cumulation) requires the permission of the bishop.
