Greek-catholic parish clergy formation in Galicia in the 1930th (basrd on Yuriy Protsyuk's diary)

Abstract

Greek-Catholic clergy formation on the territory of Galicia in the 1930th was
analyzed through studying Yuriy Protsyuk's diary. The paper performed a source study analysis of the future priest's collection of reminiscences showing the period of his study at Lviv Theological Seminary. It is affirmed that representatives of the clergy tried to add the elements of the religious style portraying everyday life. Education, job and personal life of Y. Protsyuk were depicted in terms of a church reality. Correlation between the secular and the sacral is a key paradigm of the author's self-discovery throughout his life.
