Abstract

In all the religions of ancient times, except for the priest-priests, who worshiped the people, there were, of course, individual men, rarely women, who were the callers or preachers of mysterious thoughts, incomprehensible phenomena, the unknown future. They were called sages, soothsayers, experts in the interpretation of dreams, those whom we now call magicians, that is, people who were engaged in another invisible world.
