Knowledge and faith in the philosophical and theological thought of Nikolai Berdyaev

Abstract

Philosophy, filled with theological matter, was created by Mykola Berdyaev (1874-1948). His works found a place not only for intelligence, but faith and truth of Christianity. According to Berdyaev: "Faith and knowledge are the same in their deep essence, that is possession of completeness of objective reality". Only with the common efforts of philosophic and theological thoeght one can comprehend completeness of cognition of reality, reach deep and inward sense of existence where science does not reject faith, but helps and adds to it.
