Features of icon painting in the early Kiev church

Abstract

During the millennium of Christianity, the Ukrainian people reached the pinnacle of church architecture, painting, ornamental and three-dimensional sculpture, stained glass art, church equipment. Having received its high development during the liberation era, church art in times of trouble was almost the only center of culture of our people. The whole synthesis of art was concentrated in the temple. This art was created by talented people in monastery cells, icon-painting workshops.
