Abstract

The article presents the results of theoretical and experimental study of the functional significance of prayer in the spiritual development of the Christian personality. The essence of four phenomenological modes of prayer as spiritual dialogue is substantiated: prayers as needs, prayers as actions, prayers as attitudes, prayers as experiences.
