Abstract

The history of the Church probably belongs to one of the most difficult scientific directions in terms of methodology, because the theological and secular interpretations of the Church differ. The secular dimension is narrower: "The Church is a religious organization," the theological is broader and deeper: "The Church is the mystical body of Christ, the people of God." Therefore, for the relief of the Church in the historical context, it is worthwhile to involve the work of not only secular historians, but also theologians.
