Scientific events of the Institute of History of the IFBU Church on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Blessed Bishop Hryhoriy Khomyshyn (Ivano-Frankivsk, 2017)

Abstract

In October 2014, by order of the rector of Ivano-Frankivsk Theological University named after St. John Chrysostom, Fr. Dr. Alexander Levitsky founded the Institute of Church History (hereinafter - IIB IFBU). Its purpose, in accordance with the approved in January 2015 "Concept of research activities of the IIC IFBU", was to obtain objective knowledge of the history of the Church, with special attention to the history of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, for their practical use in the life of the Church and society".
