In this article the authors on the grounds of the analyses of the home historiographies 1990s–2000s devoted to the history of the UGCC admit the main trends in the scientific investigations and offer a new project for discussion which can be realized by the scientists of the Ivano-Frankivsk Theological Academy co-working with the scientists from the other higher educational institutions and scientific schools in Ukraine.
